Platinum - #3776 Century Bourgogne - Fountain Pen
Originally released in 1978, the Platinum #3776 pen series was designed as the ideal fountain pen. #3776 refers to the height (in meters) of Mt. Fuji, the highest and most beautiful mountain peak in Japan. The latest iteration of the Platinum #3776 is the Century, a contemporary fountain pen that marks the Platinum Pen Company's 100-year anniversary. It has a sleek design with a comfortable writing balance, smooth flow and fast-drying ink. It is crafted from AS Resin with a deep Bourgogne Red Wine finish and Gold-plated trim. The Bourgogne finish was achieved by adding many beautiful reds to the transparent resin, paying tribute to one of the major French wine producers and to the aging process of fine red wine. The Gold-plated pen clip is wide enough for engraving, making this pen a lovely gift idea. This is Platinum’s first fountain pen to use their patent-pending “Slip & Seal” structure on a screw-type cap to create a completely airtight seal, protecting your nib from drying out. It comes equipped with your choice of a 14-Karat Gold Ultra Extra Fine, Soft Fine, Fine or Medium Nib. This is a newly redesigned nib and feed to regulate the ink flow, delivering an optimum ink flow.
